Officer Hilton was killed by roadside bombs, rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire in Afghanistan while serving his country as SFC in the 425th Infantry Regiment of the Michigan National Guard, based at Selfridge Air Base in Macomb County, Michigan. Officer Hilton was killed on June 26, 2008 at the age of 37. Officer Hilton leaves behind his wife, Mary and two children.
