My wife worked for Central Dispatch and was diagnosed with cancer.  I called the Thin Blue Line of Michigan and set up an appointment.  I was informed of what I needed to bring to the meeting and it all went well.  I was very surprised and pleased with what they could do for people in situations such as ours.  We received financial assistance for five months and we were also offered legal assistance if necessary.  I thought the organization very generous.  When my wife could no longer work it took some time before her social security disability kicked in and the monies from the Thin Blue Line were a God send.  It is a tremendous emotional lift knowing there is help in time of dire need.
