My spouse a retired Michigan State Police Lt. died. I had never heard of the Thin Blue Line of Michigan. I heard about them through my son-in-law who advised me of it just before my husband’s death and that I should contact them to answer any questions that I may have. I had very positive feelings as the first question the Case Manager asked was “How can we help?” I was so thankful; it was nice to know there was someone whom I could call on for help. I received both financial and emotional assistance. I couldn’t find anyone who could have helped me more. They knew what I needed and knew law enforcement life, the job and the stresses. It was nice to know someone who knew how I felt. I was thankful for this organization because in a crisis especially in my case when my husband died and everything came at me at once I needed someone to help me sort it all out.
