I came into contact with the Thin Blue Line of Michigan following the death of our son. I heard about the Thin Blue Line from other officers both in my department and outside the department. My first contact was positive and very helpful. Following the first telephone call I felt this organization could help me. My reaction was deep gratitude and relief from the financial burden. This organization helped financially with our son’s headstone. Contact was made with the funeral home and the bill taken care of directly by the Thin Blue Line of Michigan. After my first contact it was all handled by the Case Manager of this organization. Even though the financial assistance on the headstone wasn’t extensive it was more than we could afford and as it was Christmas it allowed us to have less stress during the holidays. During a families time of need it is a great relief to have someone there to help like the Thin Blue Line of Michigan.
