I came to know the Thin Blue Line of Michigan when my husband was killed in the line of duty on October 9, 2003. My first contact with this organization was during the funeral when everything was so overwhelming. I knew they would help me and they did. All benefits were completed by the Case Manager for the benefits for both me and my children. In addition I received legal services that helped me understand what I was entitled too and smoothed the way for me as I didn’t have to worry about things as everything was taken care of by the Case Manager acting as a representative with my permission. I was contacted regularly to keep me abreast of what was happening so that I felt in control and knowledgeable. This organization was there from the start and still is! I know I can contact them at anytime and they will take action. I never expected that anyone would go out of their way the way this organization did and they expected nothing from me. Amazing people! Without the Thin Blue Line of Michigan I would have lost benefits as no one else knew of them. The Thin Blue Line of Michigan is there to help fallen and injured officer’s families in time of need, they are the best!
