I heard about this organization through the Michigan State Police Troopers Association.  The Case Manager was very patient and understanding during this difficult time in my life.  I was provided financial assistance which was such a relief during this stressful time.  I was and still am very appreciative.  I received four months of financial assistance when I expected only a one time award.  The many months of assistance helped relieve some of my financial burden.  I did not want to deal with financial woes during a time that I was trying to mourn my wife’s death and taking care of a two month old son.  Police Officers are less apt to ask civilians for help but will accept help from others in the police family.  I would recommend this organization to any officer that suffers from an unexpected casualty.
